Intersection of 30 Years of Victory Boulevard and Moskovskaya Street in Volgograd — Live Webcam
Intersection at the Crossroads of Two Eras
This intersection in Volgograd is a place where history and modernity intertwine. 30 Years of Victory Boulevard and Moskovskaya Street form a transport hub in the northwest of the city, between the Central and Dzerzhinsky districts. The live webcam allows you to monitor traffic in real time — from here you can clearly see the multi-lane road, adjacent buildings and green spaces. The camera operates around the clock, so you can assess the road congestion at any time.
30 Years of Victory Boulevard: Alley of Remembrance
The boulevard was created to commemorate the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and stretches along one of the central thoroughfares of Volgograd. Its space is decorated with alleys, sculptural compositions and memorial signs. In 2018, the Park of Hero Pilots opened here on November 4 — National Unity Day. Interestingly, the park's territory previously housed the flight base of the Kachinsky Military Aviation School. Today, the park's infrastructure includes alleys, benches, a sundial, children's and sports playgrounds. Entry is free, and it is open 24/7.
Moskovskaya Street: From Tsaritsyn to Volgograd
The historic Moskovskaya Street existed in pre-war Stalingrad. It was one of the most expensive streets of pre-revolutionary Tsaritsyn and got its name from the Moscow Gates, which led out of the fortress in the 18th century. The historic street ran from what is now Fallen Fighters Square down to the Volga, along the right side of the Alley — past the facades of the Volgograd Hotel and the Medical Academy. After the Battle of Stalingrad, the street was almost completely rebuilt, and on the post-war city plan there was no room for it — the development changed beyond recognition.
What Surrounds the Intersection
The modern intersection of 30 Years of Victory Boulevard and Moskovskaya Street is located in the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd. Nearby are commercial facilities: the "Perekryostok" supermarket at 30 Let Pobedy Boulevard, building 44, open 24/7, a "Pyatyorochka" store, and the "Meat House" shashlik restaurant. The residential complex "Kvartal Moskovsky" at 30 Years of Victory Boulevard, 32 is a multi-apartment building with 322 apartments and a living area of 18,499 m². The Park House shopping center at 30 Years of Victory Boulevard, 21 adds to the commercial activity of this area.
Krasnoarmeysky District: The Southern Gates of the City
The intersection is on the border with the Krasnoarmeysky district — the most remote and self-sufficient district of Volgograd, which developed on the principle of a "city within a city" with its own infrastructure. The main attractions of the district include the Volga-Don Shipping Canal, the "Old Sarepta" museum-reserve, and the largest monument to V.I. Lenin in Europe. The Krasnoarmeysky district preserves 19th-century buildings built in the European style: a church, a pharmacist's house, an inn, a council building, a trading house — the heritage of the German colony of Sarepta.
R-22 Highway and City Entrance
Moskovskaya Street in modern Volgograd is connected to the R-22 "Caspian" federal highway (until 2018 — M6), which starts at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road and Lipetskaya Street in Moscow and passes through seven regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kalmykia. The western bypass of Volgograd connected the R-22 and M-4 via the R-260 highway, creating a link between the federal highways "Caspian" and "Volgograd – Kamensk-Shakhtinsky – Lugansk." For drivers entering the city from the highway, this intersection becomes one of the first major points on the route.
Road Infrastructure and Traffic
The intersection of 30 Years of Victory Boulevard and Moskovskaya Street is a busy traffic interchange. The four-lane road with road markings, pedestrian crossings and lighting columns ensures the movement of cars, buses and trucks.
