Krasny Put Street: History of an Omsk Thoroughfare

Krasny Put Street is one of the key transport arteries of Omsk, with a history dating back to the city's founding. As early as 1765, this street was marked on the construction plan of the second Omsk fortress, from the Irtysh River bank to the Tobolsk outpost. Since then, it has evolved from an outlying road to a busy thoroughfare in the Kirovsky District.

At different periods, Krasny Put Street has changed its appearance. In the 1920s and 1980s–1990s, the Korgenyuk House stood here — one of the notable residential buildings of that era. Today, the street represents a modern urban environment with active vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Krasny Put — Kemerovskaya Intersection: A Growth Point for Kirovsky District

The intersection of Krasny Put and Kemerovskaya streets has become one of the most notable transformation sites in Omsk. It is here, on the territory of the former Sibzavod, that a large-scale comprehensive territory development program is underway. Four plots with a total area of nearly 6,000 square meters within the boundaries of Krasny Put, Kemerovskaya, and Oktyabrskaya streets have been designated for new development.

The ground floors of the complex under construction have been allocated for retail and educational purposes. This means that within walking distance from the intersection, there will be not only residential buildings but also spaces for living, studying, and leisure.

Former Sibzavod Territory: From Industrial Zone to Residential Quarter

The company "Trust-Invest" has unveiled a development project for the former Sibzavod territory, located between Kemerovskaya and Krasny Put streets. The scale of transformation is impressive: the project involves the construction of 29 residential buildings and an educational complex with a school and kindergarten.

The master plan for the residential complex on the "Sibzavod" territory was developed in 2025 in accordance with modern urban environment standards. The Omsk City Administration has put the project up for public discussion, underscoring its importance for the development of the Kirovsky District and the city as a whole.
