Ice Town in Kushva — Watch the Live Webcam Online
History of the Ice Town in Kushva
The Ice Town in Kushva is not just a seasonal attraction, but a true family tradition. It all began in 2014 when businessman Sergey Karyukhin approached the city hall with a request to allow the construction of a snow town in the park opposite his store. Since then, the tradition has never been interrupted. For the seventh year in a row, the Ice Town in Kushva has been built by the Karyukhin father and son — folk craftsmen who create all the figures and slides by hand. Their work transforms an ordinary city park into a fairy-tale space where families with children come. Watching this location in real time means witnessing how the city transforms for the holidays.
Where the Ice Town is Located: How to Get There
The Ice Town is located in the Tatishchev Park behind the Municipal Administration building. Previously it could be found on Magistralnaya Street, but traditionally the town occupies this green zone in the center of Kushva. This convenient location makes it easy to find the attractions for both local residents and visitors who come to see the beauty of the Urals. The online camera covers this central part, offering a view of residential neighborhoods and green areas.
Ice Figures and Attractions
The town's territory is a real complex for children and adults. There are several slides of different heights, an ice maze, an ice photo zone, and a glowing photo zone. The ice figures are created based on the city's landmarks — the opening theme features significant dates such as preparations for the 290th anniversary of Kushva. The town is decorated with ice decorative compositions, an ice fence around the perimeter, more than two ice objects, an artificial spruce with garlands and ornaments. Every element is thought out to the smallest detail to create an atmosphere of celebration and joy for everyone who visits.
Festive Lighting and New Year Atmosphere
Special attention is paid to the visual design. During the town's operation period, the festive lighting is turned on — a glowing photo zone, illumination on the spruce, and colorful lights throughout the territory. In recent years, the space is illuminated not only by the New Year tree but also by a photo zone in the shape of a three-dimensional gift box. The grand opening is accompanied by a fairy-tale performance at the New Year tree with Ded Moroz and Snegurochka, a lively khorovod, and cheerful music. This event gathers many spectators who want to become part of the local celebration and see the lights turned on live.
What the Camera Shows
The online camera shows the city area with a large green lawn in the foreground. On the left, a white van is parked, next to it is a parking area with cars. Pedestrians are visible: one person sits on a bench, others walk along the paths. In the background are multi-story residential buildings (panel and brick), trees with foliage, roads, and a roadway. A sandy area is visible on the lawn. Overall, it is a city park or a courtyard area in a residential neighborhood where the city's main New Year attraction is erected. Watching this webcam in real time is interesting to observe the life of a Ural city and the preparations for the holidays.
