Donkhovka River — a quiet tributary of the Volga in Tver Oblast

Donkhovka is a river that few people know about outside of Tver Oblast. Meanwhile, it is a picturesque right tributary of the Volga, which originates near the village of Borshchevo in Klin District and runs 27 kilometers before flowing into the Ivankovo Reservoir — the so-called Moscow Sea — right by the town of Konakovo. The river's length is modest, only 27 km, but several villages and one selo line its banks: Maryino, Dubrovka, Sorokopenino, Zarechye, and Selikhovo.
