Perm Fair Exhibition Center: history and significance

The Perm Fair exhibition center is one of the largest exhibition venues in the Urals. The history of this place begins in 1977, when a decision was made to create a specialized exhibition venue in Perm. Initially, the center was conceived as a place to showcase the achievements of Perm's industry and agriculture.

The building was designed by architect Konstantin Kunof, who created a functional building in the spirit of late modernist architecture. In 1986, a major reconstruction took place under the direction of Victor Tarasenko — the exhibition space grew to 2.7 thousand square meters. This allowed the center to host higher-level events.

In 1995, Perm Fair achieved international recognition — the center was admitted to the International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
