Nasha Trassa Ski Trail in Garbolovo — Online Webcam
A Volunteer Project in the Middle of the Forest
Forty kilometers from the Saint Petersburg Ring Road, amid the dense coniferous forest of the Vsevolozhsky District, a unique ski trail operates — "Nasha Trassa" in the village of Garbolovo. This is a non-commercial project that emerged in 2005 solely through the enthusiasm of volunteers. No government support — only personal participation and visitor contributions. Over two decades, a simple forest ski track has grown into a full-fledged sports infrastructure with marked routes of varying difficulty, a lit stadium, and parking lots.
Routes for Every Skill Level
The trail offers several loops, and every skier will find a distance to match their ability. The shortest — the 2-kilometer Family Loop — is suitable for beginners and parents with children. The intermediate level is represented by the 6 km Amateur Loop, while experienced skiers choose the 7 km Master or the maximum Tourist loop of up to 12 km. In 2024, a new loop was added — the 4 km "Rezinochka". The total length of marked routes is 12 kilometers, and the entire trail is groomed for both classic and skate skiing. A 500-meter lit stadium allows training in the dark.
Landscape and Nature of Garbolovo
The trail runs through the picturesque coniferous forest of the Leningrad Region — location coordinates: 60.338015, 30.499879. The terrain is varied: gentle sections alternate with climbs and descents, making the route interesting even for trained athletes. Nearby is a lake where you can also ski, extending the distance. The area is quiet and uncrowded on weekdays — ideal for those who want to combine training with a nature walk. Garbolovo is located in the Kuyvozovo Rural Settlement of the Vsevolozhsky District, approximately 40 km from Saint Petersburg.
Competitions and Sports Life
"Nasha Trassa" is not just a recreational ski track but a full-fledged competition venue. Traditional events are held here: "Garboski" — ski races gathering participants from Saint Petersburg and the region, as well as "Farewell to Snow" — a spring race concluding the winter season. In autumn, the "Bear's Verst" trail run takes place. The trail serves as a training base for both amateurs and professional skiers — the trail grooming is always top-notch, markings are clear, and skate and classic tracks are always cut in parallel.
Start Village Infrastructure
For visitors, two parking lots with a total capacity of 210 spaces are available. There are changing rooms, toilets, and equipment rental — you can arrive without your own skis and rent everything on site. Protective nets and sponsor banners are installed along the trail. The start village is designed so that even at peak times, there is enough space for everyone.
How to Get There
From Saint Petersburg, take the M-18 ("Kola") highway or go through Vsevolozhsky toward Kuyvozovo. The distance from the Ring Road is about 40 km, travel time approximately one hour without traffic. The navigator leads directly to the trail's parking lot. Yandex Maps shows the "Nasha Trassa" location with the exact entrance point.
