Duhtev didn't just green the territory — he created a landscape composition, thinking through every alley, every perspective. His passion for exotic plants led to hundreds of plant species being brought to the park from different parts of the world — from Asia, America, the Mediterranean. Many of them took root in Bulgarian soil and today adorn the alleys, creating a unique botanical garden in the open air for these latitudes.

Scale and Layout: Five Kilometers Along the Sea

Seaside Park impresses with its size. Its length along the coastline is 5 kilometers, and the total area reaches 600 dka (60 hectares). This is one of the largest parks in Bulgaria, a true green oasis amid urban development, stretching from the outlying areas to the very center.

Evergreen species hold a special place — boxwood, yew, laurel, which retain their decorative appeal even in the winter months when deciduous trees bare their branches.

Caring for the plants requires constant attention from gardeners — pruning, watering, pest protection. Thanks to their work, the park has maintained its beauty for more than a century, remaining one of the most well-maintained green spaces in Bulgaria.
