Beaver Log Fun Park: From Idea to Siberia's Largest Sports Complex
The history of this place began in 2004, when the idea of creating a modern ski resort was proposed by the governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The project was conceived not just as a ski resort, but as a year-round destination for active recreation for residents and guests of the city. Just two years later, on December 3, 2006, the official opening of the Fun Park took place, and in the same December the first phase of facilities in the "Ski Complex" format was commissioned.
The project was implemented within the framework of public-private partnership with the Norilsk Nickel company, which allowed attracting significant investments and creating world-class infrastructure. Today, the fun park area exceeds 80 hectares, with 39 hectares of trails. There are 14 trails and a training slope on the territory, serviced by several lifts of different lengths.
A landmark event for the complex was its participation in the largest international sports event: the fun Park became an official sports venue of the 2019 Winter Universiade for alpine skiing, where 9 medal sets were awarded in 5 disciplines. This recognition confirmed that the trails and infrastructure meet international standards.
Oasis Service Center: The Functional Core of the Complex
The Oasis service center is one of the key buildings on the fun park territory. It is located at Krasnoyarsk, Sibirskaya Street, 92 and is a 3-story administrative building. The first floor houses the main services used by complex visitors.
Here you can rent equipment — snowboards, skis, protective gear. For guest convenience, there is a storage facility for personal belongings, a lift operates, and it is possible to call staff to any point in the complex. Importantly, the service center is equipped with an accessible entrance for people with disabilities, making the fun park an inclusive space for all categories of visitors.
Geographical Location: On the Border of City and Wilderness
Beaver Log Fun Park is located in the Sverdlovsky district of Krasnoyarsk, on the spurs of the Eastern Sayan Mountains, on the banks of the Bazaiha River, on the border with the Krasnoyarsk Stolby National Park. This is a unique location: literally 15–20 minutes' drive from the city center begins a mountainous territory with coniferous forests, rocky outcrops, and pure taiga air.
The terrain determined the architectural solution of the complex: the area in front of the service center is located on a flat area, behind which immediately rises a green hill slope covered with forest. From a bird's eye view, you can see how urban development gradually gives way to the natural landscape — one of the calling cards of this place.
Square Infrastructure: What Surrounds the Service Center
The square in front of the Oasis service center is the central gathering point for visitors. The panoramic view opens onto an open paved area with pedestrian paths and recreation zones. To the left of the central part is a modern building with a sign, and nearby you can see inclined sports structures — ski jumps that are used in both winter and summer seasons for training and entertainment.
In the central part of the square, the blue cylindrical building attracts attention — one of the architectural accents of the territory. Small kiosks operate nearby, benches are placed, and flower beds are arranged. Along the right side, a row of flags and banners is stretched, creating a festive atmosphere. In the background rises a green hill slope densely overgrown with forest, and at the edges of the frame, other complex buildings can be discerned.
In addition to ski trails, the fun park territory features the longest "Rodelbahn" in Russia — an attraction that is a mix of bobsledding and roller coasters. This is a Siberian-scale unique attraction, drawing adrenaline lovers from all over the country.
How to Get to the "Oasis" Square in Krasnoyarsk
You can get to the fun park from the center of Krasnoyarsk in several ways. The most popular is public transport. From the city's railway station, bus No. 37 runs on the route "Railway Station – Beaver Log Fun Park," with a journey time of about an hour. The final stop is called "Fan-Park Beaver Log" and is located in close proximity to the service center.
During the New Year holidays and until the end of the winter season, additional free shuttles are launched for visitors. They run from the parking lots of "Vkusno — i tochka" at Volochaevskaya Street, 44 and from the "Planeta" shopping center on weekends and holidays. This is a convenient solution for those traveling with family or friends who want to save on parking.
For motorists, the fun park address is: 660006, Russia, Krasnoyarsk, Sibirskaya Street, 92. Parking areas are organized when approaching the complex, with capacity covering peak loads on weekend days during the season.
Seasonal Features: How the Square Changes Throughout the Year
The square in front of the Oasis service center transforms depending on the time of year. In winter, it turns into a snowy arena: the ski jumps are covered with a layer of snow, New Year garlands and trees are hung around, and objects for festive decoration are installed on the platform. In the evening, lighting is turned on, which creates a special atmosphere of a ski resort.
In summer, the square looks different: the snow melts, revealing the paving tiles and green grass, flower beds bloom with bright colors, and the green slope in the background becomes especially lush. In the warm season, the ski jumps are used for summer sports, and recreation areas are filled with visitors who have come for a walk or picnic.
Operating Hours of the Oasis Service Center
The Oasis service center operates on a schedule tied to the fun park seasonality. In the winter period, when the complex operates at full capacity, the center is open daily — from morning until late evening, to provide visitors with equipment and services throughout the entire daylight hours. In summer, the schedule may be reduced, however the main services — rental, storage, and informational support — continue to operate.
The exact schedule depends on the day of the week and weather conditions. On weekends and holidays, the center opens earlier and closes later, due to the increased flow of guests. On weekdays, especially at the beginning and end of the season, operating hours may be reduced to daytime hours.
