Chapayev — Mira Intersection in Nizhnevartovsk — Online Webcam
Intersection of Mira and Chapayev — the Transport Heart of Nizhnevartovsk
The intersection of Mira and Chapayev streets is one of the key transport hubs in Nizhnevartovsk, a city in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra. This junction connects the river pier and the railway station, making it an important transport artery of the city. Mira Street is the main avenue of Nizhnevartovsk, and Chapayev Street crosses it at a right angle, forming a busy intersection with heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The webcam at the Chapayev — Mira intersection allows you to monitor traffic in real time: cars, public transport, pedestrians at zebra crossings, traffic lights, and road signs. It's a convenient way to assess the current road situation in the city center.
Europe-City Multifunctional Complex
At the intersection of Mira and Chapayev streets stands the Europe-City multifunctional complex at 27 Chapayev Street, commissioned on April 26, 2013. The complex has 6 retail levels (1 underground and 5 above ground) and 10 floors. In 2014, the project was nominated for the CRE St. Petersburg & Federal Awards professional prize and was recognized as one of the best facilities in Russia.
The Europe-City MFC houses: the Galaxy Star cinema (formerly Mir), a food court with establishments by Perchini, Chaykhana, Planet Sushi, NY-Pizza, as well as the HappyLand children's entertainment center. A media facade — an LED screen — is installed on the building's exterior, capable of displaying advertisements and images in various color schemes.
Olympia Sports Complex and Other Facilities
On the corner of Mira and Chapayev streets is also located the Olympia complex — the city's largest year-round sports facility. Nearby is the building of the Nizhnevartovsk Energy Supply Company with bright nighttime illumination, which stands out against the surrounding development.
On the opposite side of the intersection, a row of light-colored residential high-rise buildings is visible. Previously, one of the buildings at the Mira-Chapayev intersection (on the right when entering from Chapayev Street) remained an unfinished construction site for several years but was subsequently completed and commissioned.
How to Get to the Mira and Chapayev Intersection
The Mira and Chapayev intersection is located in the central part of Nizhnevartovsk, in close proximity to the railway station and the river pier. You can reach it by public transport via the Chapayev 19 stop, located within walking distance of the intersection.
For motorists, there is an adjacent parking lot at the Europe-City MFC, which is clearly visible from the camera. The convenient location of the intersection makes it a starting point for trips to any part of the city.
Road Conditions and Congestion
The Mira and Chapayev intersection is one of the busiest in Nizhnevartovsk. Multi-lane roads with heavy traffic converge here. Traffic lights regulate movement in several directions, and zebra crossings ensure pedestrian safety.
There have been repeated traffic light failures at the intersection, leading to major traffic jams. In particular, a new operating mode of one of the traffic light systems caused a traffic collapse with a congestion score of 6. Winter Broadcast: Snow, Ice, and Snow Removal
Nizhnevartovsk is located in a zone of sharply continental climate with a long winter. From November to March, the camera shows snow cover, road machinery clearing snow, and ice on the roadway. In winter, the Mira and Chapayev intersection requires increased driver attention due to slippery surfaces and limited visibility during snowfalls.
