Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport — Live Webcam Traffic
Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport is an international airport in central Poland, providing air connectivity for one of the country's largest cities. The live webcam broadcasts a view of the airfield, allowing you to observe aircraft movement and ground infrastructure in real time.
History of Łódź-Lublinek Airport
Łódź-Lublinek Airport has nearly a century of history. It was opened on 13 September 1925 and operated until the late 1950s, after which it was closed. The airport returned to service in the 1990s when it reopened for public use. Since then, the facility has undergone significant modernization and has been transformed into a modern international hub.
Terminals and Infrastructure
A key milestone in development was the modernization of passenger infrastructure. On 2 June 2012, Terminal I was opened to serve all passengers. This terminal has a capacity of up to 2 million passengers per year, which significantly exceeds current passenger traffic.
The airport features three terminals: passenger Terminal I (2012), cargo Terminal Cargo (2009), and a General Aviation terminal for commercial and VIP flights. This structure allows the airport to handle both scheduled flights and cargo transportation, as well as business aviation.
Significance in Poland's Transport System
In 2023, Łódź Airport served 356,878 passengers, ranking it 12th among all airports in Poland. This demonstrates steady growth and demand for the air hub among residents of the Łódź Voivodeship and central regions of the country.
Transport Accessibility and Approaches
The airport is located 6 km from the center of Łódź in a southwesterly direction, at the address ul. Gen. S. Maczka 35. Its proximity to the city makes it convenient for passengers, while its location near the intersection of the A1 and A2 motorways ensures fast connections to other trans-European transport arteries.
From the center of Łódź, the airport can be reached by bus No. 65 from Łódź Kaliska station, as well as trams No. 8 and 10 from PKP Łódź Widzew station. In addition to city transport, an Airport Bus operates on the route between the airport and the railway station.
Parking and Ground Infrastructure
The airport grounds feature parking P1, located directly next to the terminal, and parking P2, 150 meters from the terminal. Both parking lots are fenced and under video surveillance, ensuring the safety of passengers' vehicles.
