It is located just 7 km from Nigardsbreen Glacier and Jostedalsbreen National Park. The ice thickness in its central part reaches 600 m, and its length stretches about 60 km. The glacier has approximately 50 outlet glaciers, including the famous Breen and Nigardsbreen. The highest point of the glacier is Høgste Breakulen peak at 1,957 m.
