Druzhby Narodov Street: Kogalym's Transport Artery
Druzhby Narodov Street is one of the key transport arteries of Kogalym, connecting residential neighborhoods with the city's business center. The street got its name in 1981, reflecting the multinational composition of Kogalym residents and their unity. Today, significant urban landmarks are located here — from monuments to a large shopping center.
The live webcam is installed on a building overlooking the central roundabout. The broadcast is in real time, allowing you to observe traffic, pedestrians, and city life without leaving your home.
Monuments and Landmarks
The roundabout at the intersection of Druzhby Narodov and Beregovaya streets is adorned with the sculptural composition "Pearl of Western Siberia" — a metal installation of two upward-striving parallels united by a burning torch. The monument is made of a special alloy designed by Swiss architect Serge Gabartuler.
On the opposite side of the ring, at the intersection with Molodezhnaya Street, rises the "Conquerors of Western Siberia" stele. This monument was solemnly unveiled on September 16, 2014 as a gift from the oil company LUKOIL to the city. The pyramidal structure with a sculptural group at its base has become Kogalym's calling card.
Within walking distance of the roundabout is the museum and exhibition center, opened on December 23, 2021, and the Galaxy shopping and entertainment center — a popular leisure spot for city residents.
Transport Interchange: Layout and Features
The roundabout at the intersection of Molodezhnaya — Druzhby Narodov — Yugorskaya streets was commissioned in August 2007 on the initiative of LUKOIL-Western Siberia LLC. The interchange is designed to distribute heavy traffic flow between the central district, residential neighborhoods, and access to main highways.
The camera covers all directions of travel: multi-lane roads with vehicle traffic, pedestrian crossings, and public transport stops. During rush hours, you can observe dense traffic flow, and in the evening — the rhythmic operation of traffic lights and the illumination of monuments.

Kogalym: Oil Industry City in Western Siberia
Kogalym is a young city in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra, founded in 1975 as a settlement for oil industry workers. Today it is a modern city with a population of about 60,000 people, developed infrastructure, and well-maintained public spaces.
Druzhby Narodov Street reflects the spirit of the city — here the paths of residents of different nationalities working in the oil industry intersect. The monuments on the roundabout recall the history of the development of Western Siberia and the contribution of Kogalym residents to the region's growth.
What You Can See on the Camera
The online camera broadcasts a top-down view of the Druzhby Narodov Street roundabout. In the center of the frame is the monumental "Conquerors of Western Siberia" stele with its pyramidal structure and sculptural group at the base. Multi-lane roads with vehicle traffic radiate from the roundabout.
In the background, modern light-colored multi-story residential buildings and the Galaxy shopping and entertainment center are visible. The area is well-maintained: green lawns, trees, pedestrian pathways, and streetlights. Pedestrians move along the sidewalks, while cars and public transport travel on the roads.
During the day, the camera shows vibrant city life: vehicle traffic, traffic lights in operation, and busy city residents. As darkness falls, artistic illumination of the monuments and street lighting turn on, creating a special atmosphere of a Siberian winter city. In winter, the roundabout is covered in snow; in summer, it is surrounded by the greenery of lawns and trees.
