Novosibirsk TV Tower — Online Camera with Panoramic City View
History of the Novosibirsk TV Tower
Construction of the Novosibirsk television center began in 1956, and on May 20, 1957, the television tower was completed. The decision to build the television center was made at the highest state level as part of the post-war five-year plans. The Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 863 dated May 4, 1955, set the start of work. The metal tower was erected by installers from the Stalmontazh-3 trust using a self-raising crane controlled from the ground, based on a proposal by engineer S. G. Tretyakov. Since 1957, the tower on Rimsky-Korsakov Street has been the primary signal source for most TV and radio channels in the city.
