Skimore Drammen Ski Resort — Live Webcam in Drammen
Drammen is a city just half an hour from Oslo, known not only for its cultural life but also for excellent winter sports opportunities. Right on its outskirts, in the Åssiden area, lies the compact yet modern activity park Skimore Drammen. If you're planning a trip or simply want to check the conditions on the slopes, the live webcam will show you everything in real time.
History and Development of Skimore Drammen
The resort, also known as Drammen Skisenter or Aronsløypa, has long been a magnet for regional skiers. But even respected resorts have their dark days — it closed for the first time in modern history, which came as a shock to local ski enthusiasts. Today, the resort collaborates on a ski pass system with Kongsberg Skisenter and Tryvann in Oslo, making skiing even more attractive and convenient.
Ski Slopes and Terrain
Skimore Drammen is not a massive high-altitude mega-resort, but a cozy place with a well-designed trail network. The total length of ski runs is 4 km with a vertical drop of 280 meters. The longest run stretches 1700 meters, allowing you to enjoy a long descent. The resort suits both beginners and experienced skiers and snowboarders, and for freestyle enthusiasts, there are jumps and rails of various sizes, as well as trails for skogskjøring.
Lifts and Infrastructure
Getting up the slopes is handled by modern equipment: a 1350-meter 4-seater chairlift and 2 surface lifts are in operation. The resort is equipped with lighting and snowmaking systems, guaranteeing excellent slope conditions even in low-snow winters. Everything you need for comfort is on site: a ski shop with rental, a ski school, and the cozy Arontunet Lodge café where you can warm up after skiing.
Summer Recreation and Bike Park
When the snow melts, Skimore Drammen doesn't go to sleep. In summer, the resort transforms into a real downhill bike park — the dirt trails for mountain biking attract riders from across the region. The lift continues to operate on weekends, and the surrounding Drammensmarka forest is perfect for hiking and outdoor relaxation.
How to Get to the Resort
Getting here is very easy. The distance from Drammen city center to the resort is just 6 km, from Oslo — 43 km, and from Larvik — 99 km. If you're driving, head to the address: Kristian Brenners vei 140.
What You Can See on the Camera
The live camera is positioned to capture the most scenic part of the resort. In the foreground, you can see the dirt trails where cyclists ride actively in summer. In the center of the frame are the ski lift towers with chairs, surrounded by dense coniferous forest of spruce and pine. In the background, a view of the hilly mountain terrain opens up. The webcam perfectly shows the scale of the slopes and the current conditions on the slopes, allowing you to assess how busy the resort is before heading out.
