History of Masterovoy Lane: From Factory Workshops to the Present Day

Masterovoy Lane in Petergof is a small street stretching 549 meters, preserving the memory of the working dynasties of the imperial manufactories. The lane got its name in 1850 — from the houses of skilled workers of the Paper and Grinding Factories located here. In the 1820s, housing for qualified workers serving Petergof's industries was built on this site. Today, the lane intersects with four streets: Volkonskaya, Razvedchika Boulevard, Sankt-Peterburgsky Avenue, and Razvodnaya Street.
