Mira Prospekt in Langepas — online webcam
Langepas — a city in the heart of Yugra
Langepas is located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra, and is among the young cities of Western Siberia. The name of the settlement translates from Khanty as "squirrel grounds" — once these lands were indeed rich in furry little animals. The city was founded in 1980 in connection with the construction of the Lokosovsky Gas Processing Plant, and received city status on August 15, 1985. Since then, Langepas has grown from a workers' settlement into a fully-fledged city with developed infrastructure.
The city planners laid a European-style layout at its foundation — with wide streets and spacious squares. Industrial and residential zones were placed with future growth and the preservation of natural and ecological features in mind. It is this approach that determined the appearance of Langepas: there are no cramped courtyard wells here, and the prospekts are spacious and straight.
Mira Prospekt: the city's central artery
Mira Prospekt runs through the central part of Langepas and is one of the city's main thoroughfares. Residential buildings, industrial facilities, retail outlets, and organizations of various profiles coexist here. Mira Street is not just a transport artery, but a full-fledged urban space where everyday life bustles.
In 2018, the construction of the long-delayed building at 42 Mira St. was taken over by Zapadno-Sibirskaya Servisnaya Kompaniya LLC, which already had experience working in Langepas — the company had previously built a multi-story building in the first microdistrict along Zvezdny Proyezd. This indicates that Mira Prospekt continues to develop and be built up.
The Mira and Dorozhnaya intersection: what's here
The intersection of Mira and Dorozhnaya streets is located in the central part of Langepas and is equipped with a live webcam. The live broadcast is conducted from here, allowing you to observe the road situation in real time. The camera's field of view covers the roadway, adjacent buildings, and green areas.
Various facilities are located at the intersection and in its immediate vicinity. KASKAD LLC is registered at: Langepas, Mira St., 8, 39 — the company is engaged in the lease and management of non-residential real estate, and the lease and leasing of industrial machinery and equipment. Mira Street also hosts industrial facilities and organizations — warm sandwich-panel hangars, the Svetlana trade pavilion (Mira St., 49V), and the Shoe Repair workshop (Mira St., 20V1).
Development and facilities along the prospekt
The left side of the frame is occupied by private development with one- and two-story houses. This is a typical Langepas area where individual residential homes stand alongside outbuildings. Nearby are hangars and warehouse premises used by local enterprises and entrepreneurs.
A small retail building with a signboard is located in close proximity to the intersection — such retail outlets are characteristic of residential neighborhoods in Siberian cities. They provide residents with essential goods and serve both local residents and passersby.
Nature around: forest tracts and landscape
In the distance from the intersection, a forest tract with trees is visible — this is a characteristic feature of Langepas, which is literally surrounded by taiga. The city is located in the middle taiga zone, where coniferous tree species predominate: pine, cedar, and spruce. The forest tracts begin literally behind the last houses and create a unique Siberian flavor.
Natural and ecological features were taken into account when planning the city — industrial and residential zones were placed so as to preserve green areas and ensure comfortable living. That is why from many points in Langepas, including Mira Prospekt, there is a view of the forest — the city is not cut off from nature, but harmoniously integrated into it.
Development and prospects of the area
Langepas continues to develop, and Mira Prospekt is a vivid confirmation of this. Construction of new facilities, reconstruction of existing buildings, and landscaping — all of this can be observed by watching the webcam broadcast at different times. The city is growing, and its central streets are changing along with it.
The Mira and Dorozhnaya intersection is not just a point on the map, but a reflection of the life of an entire district. Here you can see how traffic intensity changes throughout the day, how local enterprises operate, and what the city looks like at different times of the year. The online camera on Mira Prospekt in Langepas gives everyone the opportunity to observe the life of this corner of Yugra.
