Khabarovsk — Industrial Powerhouse of the Russian Far East

Khabarovsk is the largest city in the Far Eastern Federal District, with a population of 617,168 people. The city stretches along the right bank of the Amur River, at the confluence of two great rivers — the Amur and the Ussuri — just 17 kilometers from the Chinese border. The city covers an area of 383 km², and its history dates back to May 31, 1858, when the military settlement of Habarovka was founded.

Plant History: From Auto Repair to High Technologies

The enterprise was founded in October 1933 as an auto repair plant. Until 1941, it maintained this specialization, after which it began retooling. The turning point came in 1947, when the first industrial fan was produced — from that moment, the plant began to take shape as a power engineering enterprise.

In 1953–1957, the plant mastered the serial production of exhaust fans and blowers, and then launched the production of centrifugal compressor machines. A real breakthrough occurred in 1969, when the plant produced its first gas turbine. Since 1975, the plant has been manufacturing gas turbine process units, and in 1973–1975, it mastered the production of GTD-10-2 gas turbines for main gas pipelines and GTT-12 units.

In 1980–1984, the plant began serial production of the K250-61-5 compressor and mastered the production of KMA-2 gas turbine units. In 2001–2007, monoblock superchargers of the TsNV type and the modernized KMA-2M unit appeared. And in 2014, the Vanguard series turbocharger was launched into production.

Unique Achievements of Dalenergomash

The plant continues to push technological boundaries. In 2019, the enterprise became the first in the Far East to launch production of blades for gas process turbines with the support of the Khabarovsk Territory Productivity Development Fund. This is a critical component that determines the efficiency of turbines at chemical production facilities.

Another landmark project was the 2018 contract for the development and manufacture of a centrifugal sulfur gas supercharger TsNS 2400/1.63 for Russia's largest metallurgical plant. This unit became an improved analog of equipment from the Piller company, which had left the Russian market, and allowed for the replacement of imported supplies.

In 2020, the plant received a loan of 108.4 million rubles to upgrade its machine tool fleet with the assistance of the Khabarovsk Territory government. The funds were used to purchase CNC machines and other modern equipment.

It is also worth noting that the Dalenergomash group of companies includes an enterprise in Komsomolsk-on-Amur — the only full-cycle plant in the country producing equipment for shot blasting and abrasive blasting of metals.

Today, the plant in Khabarovsk is a modern machine-building enterprise with a wide range of products. It produces centrifugal compressors and superchargers for air, sulfur, coke, and other gases. The plant manufactures gas turbine units for weak nitric acid production lines, pumps of various types, exhaust fans, and blowers.

The product line includes KMA-2 and KMA-2M gas turbine units, Vanguard turbochargers, monoblock TsNV superchargers, and tank equipment for gas stations. The enterprise also manufactures spare parts and components for previously produced equipment, providing service support throughout the entire lifecycle of the units.
